Why we care
This Changes Everything.
“Our economic system and our planetary system are now at war. Or, more accurately, our economy is at war with many forms of life on earth, including human life. What the climate needs to avoid collapse is a contraction in humanity’s use of resources; what our economic model demands to avoid collapse is unfettered expansion. Only one of these sets of rules can be changed, and it’s not the laws of nature.”
― Naomi Klein, This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate
Small changes matter.
We care because small things matter and can become a powerful force for positive change, especially when like-minded people come together with common values. We want to inspire people to take action, even if the changes seem small at the beginning. Making change is difficult, so we support people to start small and build momentum.
We can’t wait for somebody else to do it.
“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” - Robert Swan, Author.
Fake plastic trees.
We believe in technology and progress. But it’s crucial to always question ourselves as to whether infinite economic growth is possible. What are the long term costs to our environment and the quality of our individual lives?
